When I was young, I always wondered about things. I grew up on a farm so I wondered how the milk got from the clusters, to the jar to the milk tank. I knew it was by suction but I was curious as to how it worked. I used to look at the stars and wonder about what kept them up there. I wondered when I learned about the earth spinning if I jumped up, would the ground have moved when I landed. So I guess I had an inquiring mind. I’m still like that, but now we get answers so easily on google. I always loved Science in School too, so it was natural for me to study Science in University.

I like figuring out how things work, and I like how in science you have to try to be as objective as possible and avoid opinion and anecdotes – I think it lets us get closer to the truth of things.
