      I had 6 months of experience in a lab when I started my PhD but once I finish my PhD I feel like i’ll have enough for any job (hopefully!)

      I started as a postdoctoral researcher in UCD which I did for two years. I came to UCC in 2005 as a lecturer and now I am a Senior Lecturer. I guess you could say that is a lot of experience!

      I did a work placement in a research lab for 4 months as part of my undergraduate degree and started my PhD straight away after graduating.

      Before going back to college to study science I worked in different fields, like in customer care, reception, teaching English, technical writing. I’m really glad I had these experiences working with all different kinds of people in varied fields.
